The Savannah River Environmental Sciences Field Station (SRESFS) is a summer program committed to providing academic training and research opportunities for traditionally underrepresented science and engineering students.

The core goals for SRESFS are:

  • To increase recruitment and retention of underrepresented students in the science, engineering, natural resources management, and environmental career professions.
  • To provide hands-on, field-oriented experiences for students.
  • To increase science literacy and public education on complex environmental issues.

Students will participate in research projects affiliated with member institutions, the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, and the Savannah River National Laboratory.

SRESFS will provide tuition assistance for the program courses, a salary or stipend, housing, and transportation.

For full program details including, Eligibility Criteria and Application Instructions, visit the Savannah River Environmental Sciences Field Station Website.
