Gamma Irradiation Facility

Working with SRNL
Our Facilities - Gamma Irradiation Facility

SRNL’s Gamma Irradiation Facility is equipped with devices for irradiating solid and liquid samples, allowing a wide range of tests to determine the effects of radiation on materials. Typically, the Gamma Irradiation Facility is used to determine the life expectancy of components to be used in a radioactive environment or to study material performance under a variety of conditions.
